What's this 'online Bake Sale' all about?
My sister, Sarah Mcrarren, has had
a degenerative form of arthritis for aver 25 years. She has been taking
steroids, among other medications, all throughout those years to control
this debilitating disease. Well, prolonged steroid use saps the immune system
and can cause a person to become more susceptible to other illnesses. This
has happened for Sarah, who went into intensive care with a virulent pneumonia
in February. She was there for almost 2 months and has been moved to a long
term care facility. While there she also experienced a variety of complications
that have sapped her body's strength and ability to heal itself. She has
had to battle mightily to regain small improvement in ALL her main body
life systems. It is an uphill climb. But, God bless her, she continues to
fight!
