So I accepted the “30 Paintings in 30 Days” challenged posed by Leslie Saeta, along with about a thousand other artists. I have sort of had “painter’s block” since moving to Mexico which is truly ironic considering how much color and joy I’m surrounded by here. But relocating is a stressful endeavor and moving to another country only dials the anxiety levels up, so I’m not being too hard on myself.

In fact, let’s let the work speak for me. Below are the second and third paintings. On with the fourth later today! I’m posting them on my Instagram as well as my Facebook page as they’re underway. In early February I’ll post a slideshow of the whole lot of them.

So far it appears I could call the beginning part of the series “Mexican Dreams”.
